Neighborhood:
Located on the far North of the island, Ponta das
Canas is a beach with calm, quiet waters with a stretch
of sand about 1.9 km long. Located 34 km from downtown,
it has an active fishing community and seaside restaurants.
Like
neighboring Canasvieiras, Ponta das Canas attracts
many Argentine tourists during summer.
There
is a path about 300 meters long - which must be crossed
on foot - connects Ponta das Canas and Lagoinha, also
with calm, clear waters.
