The
East of the Island begins with a postcard: Lagoa
da Conceição one of the pretties
sceneries of the country and most visited place
for those that visit Florianópolis.
Over
there the tourist finds the famous rendeiras (lace-makers)
- they produce the craftwork with the bigger expression
in the Island, several sea food restaurants and
the dunes that stretch out up to Praia da Joaquina
wich the surfers decided to call it the ‘surf
sanctuary’ due to the best waves that it provides,
becoming a stage of nacional and internacional surf
events.
Near Joaquina is Praia Mole;
where the youth is brought together during the day
and also at night.
Other famous beaches are: Praia da Galheta,
with access only through a track, the beautiful, Barra da Lagoa,
with an atmosphere that breathes the fishing, and
Praia do Moçambique,
the biggest in extension and practically unexplored,
it is ideal for the surfing..
